Hi Guys,
I've come across a specific problem and was wandering if any of you have a
workaround. Currently, we have a Cisco 3745 installed with a NM-16ESW (Layer 2
switch card).
Now using conventional configurations, I have configured a VLAN interface and
associated the physical interface with it. However, the problem is that ALL
VLAN interfaces are using the bia-mac address of FastEthernet 0/0 and not from
its associated interface FastEthernet 1/0.
I have currently 5 VLAN interfaces setup and have each one associated with a
separate interface belonging to the NM-16ESW module. I've tried to change the
mac-address on the vlan interface by using "mac address H.H.H" but the IOS
states this command is not supported on this interface.
Does anyone know of a way of associated the real mac-address of an interface
with it's associated VLAN interface?
TIA,
Raj.
