You can use either as long as the question doesn't explicitly deny the
method you plan on using. If one of the methods is ruled out you need to use
whatever is left.

yes this is acceptable and a good practice IMHO.

I would say automatically adding no auto-summary shouldn't be a problem, but
you will need to follow the lab's direction when it comes to BGP

No you will not, as long as it doesn't effect the outcome of one of the
