Hi all.
I have the following
r10---------r9---------r11
r9 being the fr switch
I just have the switching config on the r9 router as follows.
!
frame-relay switching
!
interface Serial0 <--------------------to r10
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no fair-queue
clockrate 64000
frame-relay lmi-type ansi
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 101 interface Serial1 102
!
interface Serial1 <--------------------to r11
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
clockrate 64000
frame-relay lmi-type ansi
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 102 interface Serial0 101
!
Now, when I configure the r10 router with the encap fr and lmi-type ansi,
the pvc 102 (which is the pvc to r11) goes active.
When i configure r11 with the fr commands, pvc 101 (which is the pvc to r10)
goes active.
I kinda expected when I configure r10, the pvc to r10 would go active and
configure r11, the pvc to r11 to go active?
Why is this?
Many thx indeed. (oh btw, could this be code issues as my 2500 is running
11.2(17)
