Hi,
I would think that the T1 would sit inside a bigger TDM containter - such as
SONET/SDH infrastructure. In this case the clock has to come from the telco-
doesn't it . It may be that some legacy framestream kit requires a customer
to supply a clock if the technmology isn't tdm, but I have not come accross
this before.
All the ciircuit's i have commisioned before, use clocking from the
provider. the only time this hasn;t been the case is when I was renting some
dark fibre and terminating it myself. here one end was the clock, the other
set to line
I would suggest that a good test plan would be to implement your circuit
with both ends set to line and see if you get any errors.
good luck
Adam
