When it comes to what causes routing loops I think it just depends on
the situation. It's hard to find rigid rules that apply in every single
situation, when it comes to the Cisco IOS. It depends...

And I don't think that "redistribute connected" is a red flag for
causing loops. More likely, the issue with "redistribute connected" is
that sometimes protocols will automatically redistribute connected
interfaces and sometimes they won't. IMHO, this is not consistent from
IOS version to version.

The real red flag for redistribution loops in the CCIE Lab is when you
are redistributing the same two protocols at multiple redistribution
points. Almost a guaranteed routing loop, depending on the exact
scenario (as always).
