Hi alex,

I don't know if it's possible to copy the running config to flash even if
you reset the register to make it read/write. But why would you want to?
When you save the running config file to startup config, you're saving the
file to nvram which is non-volatile ram. In other words, the config file is
not lost when the router is turned off. If the reason you want to save the
file to flash is because you need or want to copy it to other devices, you
can do that without the file being save to flash - just use the command,
"copy startup tftp" or "copy tftp startup". Jim
