Ip mobile arp is called Local Area Mobilty, which is completely
different than Mobile IP. Mobile IP is a newer technology that I would
sooner see pop up on the CCIE C&S rather than the R&S since it's really
provider related.

LAM is possible to see on the CCIE R&S, but given the departure from
many esoteric protocols, I don't see it as likely any longer. Just my
opinion, of course!

But, if you need more information, (check the archives, this is asked
every couple of months) take a look at:

Subject: Mobile IP configurations --- Mobile IP!

Team,
I was trying the mobile IP technology for te first time. But i have a
question.

In the documentation (Config guide), they have the Mobile IP
configuration task list where they do't refer to the

           ip mobile arp

command at all. Even in the Mobile IP commands section i can't find any
referance to the above command.

IP mobile arp command is refered to in the ip addressing commands
section only.

Unfortunatly, the command function descreption is so unclear.

Can anyone give us insight about this command functionalty. And wheather
it is needed or related to the Mobile IP technology??

Thanks a lot
Hossam
