It actually makes sense, as the 3550 ports trunking mode will by default be
dynamic/desirable, i.e. will actively use DTP to try and become trunk with
the other side. Now assuming the DTP gets sent via the DLSW (I'm not 100%
sure about this), the 3550's uplink port DTP-wise will be the 3550 again
via the DLSW, but physically the router. The router, even if trunk capable
normallly does not understand DTP, so remains as is. The 3550 thinks it's
speaking with a trunking buddy, and goes trunk. So you get a trunk mismatch...
