I guess that would be placed under the vty and console? I assume that this
is with 'ip domain-lookup' configured. Like so:

Is there a way to erase previous DNS entries from the router? For instance,
I had r8 a record to 200.0.0.8 then removed it from the DNS server. Then I
added it back in as R8 150.50.50.8 but R7 I going off of memory I guess:
r7#ping r8
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 200.0.0.8, timeout is 2 seconds:

Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)
At any rate, thanks for the answer. If anything I probably have the DNS
jacked up.
