Re: PagP & non-silent keyword

I have seen the difference in the forming of the
portchannels when bundling gig interfaces on the
cataly 6500 running native IOS. The problem is with
the keyword silent, the LTL (Local Target Logic)
doesn't get programmed correctly if there is any delay
between the first and last gig being added to the
bundle (or if one gig of a channel bounces). This has
affected many multicast applications on our network
causing the gig etherchannel to block the traffic
instead of forwarding it correctly. Switching to
desirable non-silent (from what I remember this caused
the two devices to send packet over the link before
bundling them) solved that problem with the LTL logic.
