Hi

I have two Cat 3550 EMI switches connected together via ports f0/47 and f0/48 using the following config on each port:

switchport trunk encaps dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 999
switchport trunk pruning vlan 10,20,30,40,55,70,100
switchport mode trunk
no ip address
udld aggressive
channel-group 1 mode desirable

This creates an interface Port-channel1 for me automatically. Do I have to apply the encaps, native vlan and pruning config to the Port-channel1 interface in addition to the physical interfaces? If so why?

Any offers?? Thx,

Chris.
