while ive got time I will give in more detail later. The 7609's capabilities with MPLS is quoted from Cisco to be "not supported". It black holes traffic over an MPLS-Tunnel and has limited P-switch functionality. The only function that this box offers from an mpls view point is EoMPLS and no
more. The current supervisors I wouldnt touch (unfortunately I have some), the new sup720's arent compatible with the new osm gig wan cards so I need to wait till the new sup720+'s come out until I can test the features on this sup card. Also the 48 port ethernet ports cannot do queue in queue
i.e. dot1qtunnel or do l2protocol tunnel cdp etc.
