Lou,

Try opening up your router and reseating the RAM SODIMMs.

Subject: 2621 router hardware crash

Dear group,

My 2621 fast Ethernet router seemed to have crashed on me. Last night
there was a thuner storm and my rack was on. This morning I turned my
rack on and the 2621 output looked like this

-----------------------------
ERROR: No system memory detected
System Bootstrap, Version 12.1(3r)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Copyright
(c) 2000 by cisco Systems, Inc.

ERROR: No system memory detected

-----------------------------

The router would go no further and I could not go into ROM monitor mode
via the ctrl- break key. I opened the box took the memory out and put it
back - I have two 32MB cards. I turned the router on and I still got
the same problem. All my other routers are working fine. Do you have any
idea as to what the problem is.

Please advise

Thanks

Lou
