I guess they put the 3700 series in because the 3640 is EOL. Gotta make
people buy the expensive stuff so they can rave about it to future
customers.
Really you don't need it unless you've got deep pockets and want to run your
ATM with it.
Actually most of the non "xm" 2600 series has been EOLed too. I don't why
but I feel kind of sad when such good things are no longer made/sold. These
days if I were putting together a practice lab, I'd use all 2600s except for
the term server and frame-relay switch (2500 series for those).
