Not sure..... If you go to Cisco's website and search on "Native Hybrid"
you will see documents on converting between the two. In the
instructions is shows how you access the sup-bootflash and the bootflash
on the msfc in CatOS mode.

If you're running Native IOS, use:
dir sup-bootflash:
to read the contents of Slot0: on the active Sup/MSFC and
dir slavesup-bootflash:
to read the contents of Slot0: on the standy Sup/MSFC.
RTR#dir sup-bootflash:
Directory of sup-bootflash:/
1 -rw- 20175220 Jan 09 2002 16:20:10
c6sup22-jsv-mz.121-8b.E7.bin
31981568 bytes total (11806220 bytes free)
RTR#dir slavesup-bootflash:
Directory of slavesup-bootflash:/
1 -rw- 20175220 Jan 09 2002 10:39:20
c6sup22-jsv-mz.121-8b.E7.bin
31981568 bytes total (11806220 bytes free)
To read the contents of the bootflash on the MSFCs use:
dir bootflash:
to read the contents of the MSFC's bootflash on the active Sup/MSFC and
dir slavebootflash:
to read the contents of the MSFC's bootflash on the standy Sup/MSFC.
RTR#dir bootflash:
Directory of bootflash:/
No files in directory
15204352 bytes total (15204352 bytes free)
RTR#dir slavebootflash:
Directory of slavebootflash:/
No files in directory
15204352 bytes total (15204352 bytes free)
Remember, the Cat6500 boots to the bootflash on the Sup first (aka the
sup-bootflash), always, whether in Hybrid or Native mode. In Hybrid
mode, the switch boots to the file in Sup-bootflash (i.e. Slot0:) and
once the switch is up with CatOS, it boots the MSFC off of the bootflash
in the MSFC (aka bootflash). In Hybrid mode there needs to a boot
helper and IOS file in the MSFC's bootflash (whether MSFC1 or MSFC2).
When you convert to Native IOS, you no longer need the IOS in the MSFC's
bootflash (since it's just one big IOS file in the sup-bootflash) and
with an MSFC2 you don't even need a boot helper in the sup-bootflash
(but you do with an MSFC1). So as you can see above, I have the IOS
loaded on Slot0: (sup-bootflash) and since I have the MSFC2s, my MSFC
bootflash is empty as I don't need any files in there.
HTH,
Mike W.

The MSFCs in the 6500s can be kind of tweaky depending
on which code you are running...especially weird when
running native. Try pulling the other MSFC out of the
slot...
