Re: OSPF help!!!

I can think of a couple of ways to do it. I think the easiest way is:

700 (Base10) = 2BC (HEX)

From working with IP addresses, we know that each HEX digit is equal to a
nibble (four binary digits). So using this formula we have:

0.0.2.BC = 0.0.2.188

Similarly 500 = 1F4
0.0.1.F4 = 0.0.1.244

Another way is 700/256 = 2 Remainder 188

Hope that makes some sense.

OSPF help!!!

Hi Group,

Got a quick one (may be I'm having a mind block ;)

If I want to configure OSPF using dotted decimal notation...

How to I convert:

Area 700 to --> Area 0.0.2.188

Another one, how to I convert:

Area 500 to --> Area 0.0.1.244

If anyone can show me how to do the conversion, that would be greatly
appreciated.

Cheers,
H.
