Banlan: I don't know that there is a good way to limit network usage
based on traffic flow over days or months. You can easily monitor this
information, however. The easiest way to do this might be to use IP
accounting on the interface with which you are concerned and record and
clear these statistics at the intervals you desire. A better way, in my
opinion, would be to use an application like MRTG to monitor interface
utilization over time. This software has proven extremely valuable to me
and is available for free from mrtg.com I hope this helps,

Subject: How to monitor the usage of one interface on 7500
Hi All,
We want to provide Internet connection to one of our customer, we use Cisco
7500. I know using CAR we can limit their bandwidth, but I don't know how
to limit their daily or monthly usage. Could you please tell me if I can
configure Cisco router to monitor it? If not what's kind of software I
should use.
Thanks in advance
Banlan
