Documentation CD

Hi Group,

As many people on this forum have recommended, when there's something I don't
know, I try to find it on the Doc CD. (The one I'm using is dated October
2000 and covers up to IOS ver 12.1).

Very often, though, I can't find the command or particular info I'm looking
for. However, if I go online and look under the config and command guides for
version 12.1, I usually find what I'm looking for.

Here's an example to illustrate what I'm talking about:

A practice lab I'm doing on RIP says to configure a low end router to hold
triple the updates in it's queue as normal. I've never heard of this so I
check the Doc CD and find nothing under ver 12.1 of the config guide or in the
command reference.

I then go online and do the same search on cco under ver 12.1 and BAMM - there
it is, the input-queue command.

What's going on here? Why is it that I can find things online but not on the
Doc CD? Is the CD I'm using abridged or something? Have others noticed this
same discrepancy? And, is there anything I can do about this? Most
importantly, will the Doc CD used in the lab have the same flaws and
discrepancies I'm seeing now?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. thanks, Raj
