Redistribution static via interface (for example to Null) in

When I use network statement under EIGRP process which (statement) spans
prefix I specify in static to Null (for summarization purposes)
or in static via any other interface, this static is not advertised properly
: it's going to EIGRP as Internal network with AD 90 and can not be filtered

(by means of route-map or distribution list) on the router where I do
redistribution of static.
Looks like mask length of network statement has to be < prefix length of
static route you redistribute in EIGRP.

It seems that Static via address doesn't have this limitations.

I guess it should be a good practice (as for OSPF) to specify network
statements with exact match of connected networks.

Can somebody comment it or point me to the explanation of this fact.

Thank You
