Yes, but if you place the command ppp chap hostname xxxxxx on both REMOTE routers, you could get away with a single "Dialer remote-name" on the local router.
Example:
Local Router:
hostname R3
user myname pass cisco
Int d1
dialer remote-name myname
dialer string 1111
dialer string 2222
Remote Routers:
hostname R1
user R3 pass cisco
int d1
ppp chap hostname myname
hostname R2
user R3 pass cisco
int d1
ppp chap hostname myname
Something like this should work.

Donny,
What if you set up "ppp chap hostname xxxxxx" on the two remote routers (make the hostnames the same as the dialer remote-name on the local router)?

Subject: Dialer remote-name issue
Hi Guys,
I got a problem with using dialer profiles.
Suppose you have one router(rtr1) that needs to dial to two other routers (rtr2 and rtr3). using the same dialer profile.
You can get away with the calling using 2 dialer string so the dialer is able to issue a call to the rtr3 when rtr2 is not available.
Now the second problem would be the dialer remote-name. I cant' put two dialer remote-name in one profile. and I can't seems to find anything that can instruct a router to manipulate this value when it is used for authentication.
Moreover I stil have to use PPP, so even if I can get the binding to work (CLID or DNIS), it would still disconnect the connection when calling to the non default router rtr3 that is ( the call to rtr3 would failed as expected, due to the mismatch of
name configured for PPP-CHAP with the one configured for dialer remote-name )
Anybody knows a workaround ?
Regards,
Donny
