I recently purchased a 2501 with 16/8. I got some new flash and
installed it but the router does not recognize it. It will recognize 2
- 4MB though. I took the new memory and put 12.2 on it in another
router. Then put the memory in the 2501. It still did not recognize
the flash. It proceeded to get a 12.2 which I name cisco2-2500 from my
TFTP sever. After loading it told me:
SYSTEM INIT: INSUFFICIENT MEMORY TO BOOT THE IMAGE!
The configuration register is 2102
It reading Cisco web site I see that there is such a thing a boot prom
upgrades. Could this be a problem?
I'd appreciate suggestions on how to get this puppy working.
