true, and/or
check sh line, clear it, etc.
though not required:
specify an exec-timeout

Subject: Cisco Terminal Server/Access Server configuration with a 2509 and
2501
Hi,
I am trying to make my 2509RJ router work with my 2501 but it does not
work.
This is my configuration:
terminal_server#
Current configuration:
!
version 11.2
service timestamps log uptime
no service udp-small-servers
no service tcp-small-servers
!
hostname terminal_server
!
interface Loopback0
ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.255
!
interface Ethernet0
ip address 2.2.2.2 255.255.255.0
!
interface Serial0
no ip address
!
no ip classless
!
line con 0
line 1 8
no exec
transport input all
line aux 0
line vty 0 4
login
!
end
This is a good configuration I guess but if I try to make a connection
to the 2501 router that has a CAT5staight cable from the con port to the
first interface of the 2905 and I type this command:
terminal_server#telnet 1.1.1.1 2001
At this point this is the screen and it stays like this:
terminal_server#telnet 1.1.1.1 2001
terminal_server#
terminal_server#telnet 1.1.1.1 2001
Trying 1.1.1.1, 2001 ... Open
And it keeps trying to open it but nothing happens.and I need to close
the connection to start all over again.
Can someone please give me more suggestions about this how I could get
it to work?
Thank you very much
