  I still think so!! Frame and ATM are multiaccess networks. When
Cisco first started supporting frame relay there was no subinterface
option only the physical interface and it was/is multipoint. Because of
well known problems with multipoint and some protocols, IPX, appletalk,
OSPF, split horizon, etc, Cisco came up with the subinterface p-p option.

  Can you use, for example, the "frame-relay interface dlci x" p-p
command on the physical interface? Yes. Does this mean it is a p-p
interface or that this is the right thing to do, no.
