Hi John,

172.30.0.10 is reachable from my cat 4006 but when 203.92.194.1 goes down
packets don't get routed thru 172.30.0.10

What may b the problem?

Check your routing table to verify that 172.30.0.10 replaces
203.92.194.1 when the first interface goes down.

Second, verify that the 172.30.0.10 is reachable from the Catalyst 4006.
