Filtering LSA from OSPF Database

Hi All,

Let say:
r1---area1---r2----area0----r3.

I would like to filter off some of the LSA from its
OSPF database that r2 send to r1. Is there a way for
this to be done?

Under the command reference list for OSPF (12.2)
There is a command "area filter-list". Although this
command was introduce in ver 12.0.15(s), I cannot find
this in my Cisco 2501 IOS ver 12.2.1d.

Any advice is appreciated.
