Hey,
Does EIGRP start advertising this network after you do a shut/no shut? I ran
into a similar bug...In 12.2something code. There is a hidden command
(event-buffer) that Cisco uses to get around this EIGRP anomaly. You will
not see it in the available command list after a ?

Sounds very much like a bug.... Try newer code.

Subject: Eigrp is misbehaving in a ver weird way
Hi ya'll,
Check this out.
Config for Router 4
int lo0
ip addr 198.168.4.4 255.255.255.0
int s0
ip addr 172.16.234.4 255.255.255.0
router eigrp 1
no autosummary
net 198.168.4.0
net 172.16.0.0
Here's the weird thing!!!
On this router, a show ip eigrp interfaces only shows int s0, not lo0.
There are several other routers where lo0's ip addr = 198.168.X.X where X =
the router's number.
On other routers, a similiar config results in lo0 sometimes showing up in
the output of the above show command but not always. Why?
I've tried shutting lo0 and then no shutting the interface. In those
routers where lo0 shows up in the show ip ei int, the lo0 interface is
advertised as it should be but the int isn't being advertised when it's not
in the output of sh ip ei int.
So, why isn't eigrp always picking up the lo0 interface? And, what should I
do about it?
Thanks in advance. Jim
