I had two 6509's with MSFC2. They are running HSRP between the two. Multicast is set up identical on each MSFC2, with PIM Dense mode....CGMP running on the interfaces. I disabled CGMP on the standby router, left PIM running and the media stream isn't dropping any more.

TAC hasn't found a solution yet to this problem. Opened up a TAC Case yesterday. If I can find out what's causing this I'll let everybody know.....Bob
