Just to give you an idea of what the difference is. I went from having
intervlan routing on a 7513 router running dcef to a 6500 MSFC with a
supervisor 1A engine and mls. before the change, I did a file transfer from a
server on a different VLAN to my laptop....Tried this a few times. I
calculated about 16Mbps total throughput. When I made the change, I copied the
same file and got over 55Mbps throughput. Keep in mind that my laptop is a POS
with a slow hard drive. Also, this was on a MSFC1. MSFC2's do MLS through CEF
and are supposed to be much faster.
