Here's how I did it on a 2950. I don't think it would be different on a
3550. The web page includes screen shots of the client configuration,
which takes up most of the space.

thanks for the response. i hv included the username
XXXX password YYYY in the configuration -- just forgot
to paste it on.

on the computer it asks for

username :
password :
Domainname :

now i leave the domain name empty as i dont know what
to put there but just with the username and password
(which matches the one i configured ) the
authentication does not work. i am using the default
md5 ( and not the smart card option ) on the computer.
