Ping, Pinging and Pingability and then Pingable

Hello People

Having been doing a few long labs and some never ending labs, there comes a
point when I switch my routers off...obviously. So, today when I turned my
babies on I was running ping scripts on each router when I noticed something.
When I tried pinging across 2 protocols, say I was running OSPF, and to get to
network AA, I needed to go through EIGRP and RIP networks, the first ping on
both routers would come up as "U.U.U". The ping was done when the router
appeared in the routing table. The second ping go's through no problem, the
thing I am thinking about is the lab. Having heard from a million people about
how the lab is graded, if this was to happen in the lab. I would not be given
the marks for the question would I? I know some of you have said that the
parts that are not right are checked manually, and I hope they are. Then
again, if there not, I am pretty well buggered aren't I? I might have got the
whole thing nailed down and my proctor might of had a rough night or
something. It's enough having to get ready for the lab and then becoming a
nervous wreck for the last month trying to convince yourself you don't know
OSPF when you configuring 1 million red points into OSPF at the same time.

Just thinking out loud. I am sure there are like backup proctors or something,
that can take over if the proctor had too much to drink or gets bored.

Please do not respond to this mail. It was just a thought for all those people
getting ready for the lab. Do you think Cisco would pass me if I got a 3550
surgically grafted to my body?

It's a curse...when you get bored and can use ur mind to do things like think,
write, read and maybe even drive to the nearest cliff and jump off.

I'll see u when I get there...
