In my testing, I could only get things to work with router mobile added. I
also have a lab solution that included it. I never added bridging, nor see
any benefit in doing so.

Hi.
One of the solutions for a practice lab with Mobile IP shows the router
mobile command also being used. However, I have not seen that described
in any config gudies. Does anyone know if that is required. The config
is as follows:
interface Ethernet0
ip address 150.50.4.8 255.255.255.0
ip mobile arp access-group 5
!
router mobile
!
router eigrp 10
redistribute connected route-map selected-metrics
redistribute mobile
network 150.50.5.64 0.0.0.31
network 192.168.1.0
network 192.168.2.0
...
Also, the config guide says that bridging has to be enabled on the
interface, but some sources and examples indicate that this is not the
case. Is there a definitive answer on whether bridging has to be
enabled on the interface?
Thanks,
Gerry

Hi,
What your asking about is called LAM, Local Area Mobility, which is very
easy. You only need to configure 1 command, ip mobile arp [options].
There's an excellent write up of it
http://www.netcraftsmen.net/welcher/papers/index.htm
along with a host of other R & S topics.
Hope this helps. Jim
