Hi Darvin;
This is an issue of the 3640 and its boot roms. They did not support
the FE interfaces. This was a real pain when you received parts from
distribution and all you did buy was the NM-1FE-2W and you did NOT order
the NM-1E-2W or whatever to flash up to a working version. You had the
priviledge of using XMODEM. That's why I finally got around to keeping
a compatible IOS version on a flash card.
So in any case, according to the Software advisor, you will need one of
these version:
12.0(7)XK, 12.1(1)T, 12.1(5)YB, 12.1(5)YD, 12.2(1), 12.2(8)T,
12.2(11)T1, 12.2(2)XT

hi group again
i got another issus with nm1fe2w this was taken out of cisco 3640.
putting it in cisco 2600 aND 3620 and blasted things are not being
recognised by the ios images put in 12.2 enterprise, ip only, ip and

any ideas
