When you look at dyndns.org you may also want to check out their client
software which allows you to keep a record on their service up to date. I
have a FreeBSD box on my internal network which runs said client all the
time so my IP is always accurate. I also use 'ssh' to access the BSD box
through the Linksys and from there telnet to the routers giving me a little
more security. It works quite nicely and it is very handy to be able to
access my lab from work or wherever. (I also use an Xserver on my laptop
so I can have multiple windows open on the BSD box, but there is some cost
involved in that.) The only scenario I've had trouble with is that SSH
over dial-up was too slow to be very usable - so I lost some test time when
I was out of town for a relative's wedding. :-)
Good luck!
