If you feel you are close go for the rescore. I've known a couple people
that have actually gotten their numbers by a rescore.

Subject: ccie lab rescore
I took the lab exam last Friday and finished
everything shortly after lunch (in less than 4.5
hours) I thought that I definitely would pass. But
today's score report shocked me (it's a long painful
waiting, almost 3 days. Don't take the lab on Friday
if your heart is not very strong). Although for major
parts, like routing/switching, I got full marks. But
IOS security features, ISDN's section's score are much
lower than my expectation. In addition, I thought the
voice part should be 100% but only got 40%. I can make
all required calls and knew what tricks it was trying
to test. But still, only 40%, completely shocked. This
was my most confident part.
I did a weighted caculation, my overall percentage is
around 78%. I heard that by getting 80% you can pass.
So I may try a rescore. But I heard that rescore is
just a waste of money.
Anybody got sucess by rescoring? And how long will it
take?
BTW, be extremely careful in the exam even for the
familiar topics. I did miss a few things which
absolutely shouldn't miss, especially when I have more
than 3.5 hours to double check it. Just was too
confident. :(
Thanks in advance.
