Why do I need to do a summary-address for a /4 ( our any I guess) from
I have the following design:
R1 ------- R7 ------ R5
R1 is in BGP AS 1, R7 is in AS2.
R7's interface facing R5 is in Area 1 ( OSPF) and R5 contains Area 1 and
Area 0. So R7 is an ASBR.
R1 advertises several /24's and also an aggregate address for these (
160.0.0.0/4).
I redistribute BGP into OSPF, but R5 does not see this address (
160.0.0.0/4). If I add "Summary-address 160.0.0.0 240.0.0.0" in R7, R5
finally see's it. Why won't the redistribution of BGP pass on the '/4?
