That only changes the notation in the routing table when you do a show ip
route,
You still cant enter, / notation under the interface and in the running
config, net masks still show up as dotted decimal notation,
Any other idea's

Hello,
Is it possible on an interface instead of putting in mask in dotted decimal
notation ie 255.255.255.0 or whatever to put in in as a / format
to be able to do the following,
int fa0/0
ip address 192.168.1.1 /24
as opposed to
int fa0/0
ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
I thought there may be some so called "knob" available to tweak the default
settings. Can this be done...??? I cant find anything on the cisco web site
regarding this.
