Hello All
Can anybody please explain me the 802.1Q tunneling
technology on the Catalyst 3550.
What are its applications?
Where it should be used?

I am kind of new the 3550 switch features and have
never dealt with this tunneling technology.

any info or a brief explanation would be good.
