Well, flash can be bought of ebay as well. I try to go to the sellers
that have high positives.. a couple of other places on the web such as
kg2.com (Of which I have no affiliation with) offer parts as well.

My apologies to the rest of the group... This wasn't meant as a gung-ho
self congratulatory post. I just wanted to get across the feeling that a
lot of money need not be spent just to set up a home lab.

Cabling and upgrading flash are not required for the lab. But it helped
me to better understand the equipment and the underlying architecture.

Where did you purchase the 16MB Flash and RAM for your 2501's?

I am doing it the same way you are, however I am still getting my
equipment together.
