IEEE 802.1Q Protocol
The IEEE 802.1Q protocol is used to interconnect multiple switches and
routers, and for defining VLAN topologies. Cisco currently supports IEEE
802.1Q for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
