Hi Georg,
That is what I am thinking vlan 1, 1002 and 1005 cannot be removed from
trunk.
See here is the output
cat1#sh int f0/23 trunk
Port Mode Encapsulation Status Native vlan
Fa0/23 on 802.1q trunking 1
Port Vlans allowed on trunk
Fa0/23 2-3,13
Port Vlans allowed and active in management domain
Fa0/23 2-3,13
Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned
Fa0/23 2-3,13
and the output from show run
interface FastEthernet0/23
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,3,13
switchport mode trunk
no ip address
channel-group 2 mode desirable non-silent
The only problem I am having is if I remove vlan 1 from the
trunk i cannot form layer 2 etherchannel. I have tried
to make another vlan as native vlan but it is not forming
layer 2 etherchannel unless I allowed vlan
1 back on the trunk.
Well guys I had never worked with etherchannels before so just want to make
sure
if i made another vlan as native vlan would i be able to form
layer 2 etherchannel.
Thanks
