Evan: 1234.abcd.0000 converts to 482c.d5b3.0000. You need to reverse the
nibbles after applying the conversion.
Your binary conversion also misses the point that you reverse each byte, not
each nibble.
00010010 reverses to 01001000 i.e. 12 => 48
00110100 to 00101100 34 => 2c
etc.
