encapsulation failed

Hi group,

I have a problem that drives me crazy all the time.My problem is"
encapsulation failed " of which you are probably complaining as well.
Sometimes when I configure ISDN or async interface I get the encapsulation
failed in the output of debug ip packet. I usually get rid of it after several
reloads without changing anything on my configurations. I am sure that this is
not related to a misconfiguration.(Also this is not about the switch) Does
anybody have an idea how I can manage not to face this problem anymore ? Is
it something related to an IOS bug ?
