DLSW timers, just getting started.

I just wanted to get a clarification on a couple of things for DLSW peers

Keepalive X - Value in seconds on how often to send test messages to keep a
remote-peer up (does this count for static and dynamic)
timeout X - an idle timeout. Disconnect peer after X seconds of no data
(not keepalives)

Do both of the above apply to staticly defined remote-peers only?
What is a dlsw keepalive anyways (0x00 Null SAP?)
Is the "timeout x" valid only for TCP as the encapsulation type or does it
look at all regular user data (be it netbious, SNA, etc)
Is the Inactivity timer only used for border-peers or promiscious as it says
"dynamic", as opposed to statically defined peers.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Tim

inactivity minutes
(Optional) Configures the length of time a connection is idle before closing
the dynamic remote peer connection. The valid range is 1 to 300 minutes. The
default is 5 minutes.
timeout seconds
(Optional) Retransmit time limit for TCP. The valid range is 5 to 1200
seconds. The default is 90 seconds.
keepalive seconds
(Optional) Sets the keepalive interval for this remote peer. The range is 0
to 1200 seconds.
