Hi,
A NSSA area will not accept LSA type 5 and by default will not install a
default route to the ABR unless configured with the "area 12 nssa
default-informaion..."
option......
So I believe the question wants you to make the area 12 a NSSA
area..........
Regards,
Vijay.

Two routers running OSPF. R2 and R1 specifically. The serial link
between
them is in OSPF area 12.
Question states that area 12 should not see any external OSPF routes of LSA
type 5. Simple enough. Make it a stub area.
Second part of question states that R1 SHOULD NOT see a default route from
R8. Well by virtue of making OSPF area 12 a stub, r2 sends R1 a default
route......
So how do I keep R2 from sending a default route to R1 yet meeting the
requirement of OSPF area 12 NOT receiving LSA type 5's??
Thank You,
David
