Hi tom
both format of the network mask are correct.
but the .192 will summarise the 0,16,32,48 sunbets and hosts within those
subnets.
whereas the .0 mask will represent all the subnetwork and the hosts within
all the subnetworks of 137.20.1.
Most reasonable one will be the 255.255.255.192 mask
Thanks.

Subject: ospf area range
when performing ospf summarization and using the "area x range" command,
which of the following statements is correct??
they both worked!!
137.20.1.17 /28
137.20.1.33 /28
area 11 range 137.20.1.0 255.255.255.0
or
area 11 range 137.20.1.0 255.255.255.192
again, they both worked, and i just walked-out the comman bit pattern!!
thank's
tom
