RE: Mastering the core was not enough......

Hello,

You just have to follow the wording of the questions word by word. If It
tells you no default and no static to the null 0, you still can use the area
range. That's because the route to the null 0 created by the area range
command is not at static. In fact it is dynamic. Sh ip route static proves
that. Also with regard to distribution, unless he tells you, if you meet the
requirements and there is no routing loops, you can you do whatever you
want. Redistribute on only one router or two routers, to use or not to use
filters are not issues as long as you meet the requirements and there is no
routing loop. It is good idea to unleash debug ip routing protocol command
in all your routers once you finish all your routing protocols including
bgp. This command should have no output during the rest of the day. If a
question is left open, then there are no restrictions. You have to read the
question twice before you solve and once after you solve and then use your
show commands to see if you met the requirements. That's my 2 cents. Good
luck.

Sam

Hi Sam,

Thanks. I've read Halabi and Doyle and of course CCO.
I've failed my first attempt .. score about 59% on my IGP.
I think it's more on to understand the wording on the lab ... and understand
what they actually want. If you can tell me more, I have some doubts to
clarify:

1. The "no null0" rule, is it implying that they don't want you to use area
range and you should use secondary/tunnel for classless/classful
redistribution ? Or you are free to use anything as long null 0 is not
created ? 2. When the wording say: redist OSPF and EIGRP. What's the rule of
thumb ? Mutual redistribution on every possible border router between OSPF
and EIGRP domain ??

Regards,
Ronny
