Try configuring an IP address on one of the interfaces and do a 'sh ip int
brie' before saving the config and see what it says. My guess is it would
say "manual." Then save the config and reboot and see if it changes (to
"NVRAM").

Subject: Output of "Show ip inteface brief "
Hi
Can someone tell me what this output means
R8#sho ip int brief
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status
Prot
ocol
Ethernet0 unassigned YES TFTP administratively down
down
Ethernet1 unassigned YES TFTP administratively down
down
For Ethernet 0 and Ethernet 1 the "Method" is showing as TFTP.
What does this mean? All my other routers show NVRAM in that field
Thanks
