Hunt,

        They are different technologies. The first is caller-id
callback, the second is PPP callback. Dialer callback, or caller-id
callback, is independent of the encapsulation type, and can be run over
HDLC, Frame-Relay, etc. PPP callback is only supported while running
PPP.
