I've used it for customers with Spectrum or Centrex ISDN services
- connecting to Nortel DMS-100 switches

could be a little flakey with requiring/not requiring the first "0" in the area code
- until the OS on the Nortel switch was upgraded.

mainly for govt customers, as most private companies will have a local PABX

Hello,

I am just a starter on learning ISDN (by testing it out on ISDN Simulator).
Can someone please explain to me when I will need to use the "isdn spid
<xxxx>" interface config command?? Is there any circumstances that I will
need to use it?? e.g. when using

- dialer string command
- dialer map ip command
- dialer interface

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Hunt Lee
