Actually, I'll be very surprised if Cisco does anything more than be
very flexible in rescheduling those people who were affected. I'll be
disappointed if I don't get some form of official notification soon as
to the coming week and whether or not people scheduled for this Monday
thru Friday should travel to RTP or not. I've directly emailed two
people at RTP but received no response. It is a weekend and they may
not even have power at their homes, so I can certainly understand the
extreme nature of the situation there. I still believe some form of
notification should go out though, via San Jose perhaps. If it is too
much of a variable still to KNOW that power will be on, they could make
a command decision that everyone testing anytime this coming week will
need to reschedule. This would at least save some missed work, travel
expenses, and anxiety. Then only those of us with non-refundable plane
tickets will be out the $100 to "re-use" that ticket at a later date.
The policies they have in place certainly keep them from bearing any
costs we incur for any reason.
If anyone hears anything official, or rumors that seems good, about the
coming week, please post them here.
Thanks,
Troy
